Mini-split refrigerant connections are flare fittings made on site, not factory-brazed. A flare that was not cut and seated properly will weep refrigerant slowly for months. Slow capacity loss on a fairly new mini-split usually points here.
Mini-split filters sit behind the front panel and are easy to forget because they are not in a return grille. A blocked filter on an inverter system shows up as reduced output long before it shows up as an obvious fault.
