Do you service Lennox systems you did not install?
Yes, and most of it is. We take on Lennox systems installed by anyone, and parts access is the reason it is worth calling us rather than the nearest available tech. Give us the model and serial from the outdoor data plate and we can confirm the age, the line and whether the part your system needs is one we can get quickly.
Are you certified to work on Lennox?
Yes, R.M. Mechanical is factory-certified to install and service Lennox equipment for residential and commercial customers. That covers installation, diagnostics, and warranty work on Signature Collection, including the SL and XC series, Elite Series, Merit Series, iComfort and S30 controls.
Can you handle a Lennox warranty claim?
Yes. Ten years on parts is the usual figure for registered residential Lennox equipment, with longer compressor terms on the Signature line. Those registration windows get enforced. We register what we install and check coverage before quoting on a system that came with the house.
What usually fails first on a Lennox system in Florida?
iComfort and S30 thermostat faults. The S30 is a small computer on the wall, and it behaves like one. Firmware updates, wifi dropouts, a touchscreen that stops responding: to the homeowner every one of those looks like the air conditioner has died. So the control gets ruled out first, before anyone opens a gauge set.
What else commonly fails on Lennox systems here?
Evaporator coil leaks on older equipment. Evaporator coils are a common failure on Lennox systems of a certain age, and Florida works them harder than most climates do. On an older system losing charge slowly, the coil is worth checking before anyone assumes the line set. A leak search costs less than a guess.
